It's such a sad song to me... My boyfriend and I recently broke up, and things are kind of strange because it wasn't exactly our choice. The song makes me cry so hard because it seems to fit so well. Everything is so different without him. I'm happy I got the time I did with him, though. |

This is such a good collaboration. It's really powerful, full of emotion. The "chorus"y part- "You can kill the revolutionary, but you can't kill the revolution"- is really quire beautiful. You can stop a person, but their whole ideas live on. |

The addiction isn't necessarily drugs. Different people bring their own stuff into it. It could be about drugs, alcohol, or even a person. Anything that the person sees and knows is unhealthy but keeps crawling back to it. |

You know, for a band that so many people (who don't really know them) call "emo", I see a lot of positive influence in a few songs. "We stand above the crowd"- rising above the depression and standing tall, defeating it. It's so powerful. |

First off: missmindfreak2010, nocemisions: I feel so glad that there are other people like me in that regard. Freshman year was so hard for me too. And this song- well, it reaaally helped.
Anyways. I feel like the song tells us that the world is a hard place to be in. It's filled with really horrible events, and sometimes we just don't feel like we belong. It's during these times when you just want to end it all and stop feeling the pain. But we can't go back, we can't fix things. We have to accept how life is. And when we have trouble doing that, there are people who will be there for us and help us through it. We might want to kill ourselves, but it's never too late to look at things through a better viewpoint. |

So agreed, to both of you. In the beginning of their relationship, everything was nearly perfect. But you know how time can heal and ruin everything. He never meant to stop caring, but somewhere along the lines of time, he did.
The sad thing is that this exact same thing has happened to me. Whenever I hear this song, I still think of my ex best friend and how he just stopped caring about me, despite how close we had become. |
