It's talking about how the media has hypnotized the younger generations into having ideas about politics that are either false or giving them ideas that will lean them more towards the opinions of the media instead of the kids growing their own opinions for themselves. I'm classified as the younger generation but I come up with my own opinions on what I believe is right or wrong and I don't let any person or mediator tell me what to believe. And I think it's bull crap that the media does this. Just like how fox news changed up some of the interviews with the presidential candidates back in september-november of 2008 to get people to vote for Obama more. As if there wasn't already enough people telling someone to just because he's african-American. (which was the stupidest reason anyone would've voted him for.)

On the contrary to what everyone here has said. I think that this song is speaking out to people who are feeling the thoughts of suicide. Notice how in the end of the music video, everyone stops what they were doing that would have killed themselves. It's basically telling people with those thoughts to think about there life one more time before taking it from themselves. When he's saying all those emo things, I think he's really just informing us on what those people are thinking, not what he's saying or thinking himself. I'm not emo in any way but I do get thoughts of if my life really does mean anything sometimes, then I end up in deep thought about how my life is better then what I think at that one, impulsive, insignificant moment. And this song reminds me of those moments and how I always seem to beat those short thoughts of unimportance.

First of all, you'd have to be a complete idiot not to notice that they definitely referenced the Book of Revelation to make up the theme of this song. They send out almost every single message they possibly could just by looking at the lyrics to this song. Sure, someone could find other meanings in what they think his song means to them, but what they aren't seeing is that they want you to say what you think it means, not what you think they meant it to mean, because its obvious they based this song off of Revelation.
