So what was perfect at night isn't perfect in the morning. The sun is tarnished, there's a black mark/a hex on it. It's nagging me asking me about what I did to pass time before I knew you. Why I spent time with this other woman who is still very present.

At night what we have is real because we make it so. We give it life and make it right and perfect. But there's someone else underlying, from my past, and she is still present.

At night things would come alive but in morning I'd just have to clean things up from the night before. I was left with nothing tangible.
