Sycophants
A person who acts obediently or attentively towards someone important to gain an advantage. There's a tale by Hans Christian Anderson called The Emperor's New Clothes, where two weavers promise to make the emperor (who is vain and cares only for displaying clothes) some new clothes which are invisible to anyone who is unfit for their position. His ministers do not see his clothes, but pretend they do see them so that they seem like they are fit for their positions.

I think that the song is about not giving up because you are alive and you can fight, and also to not underestimate how strong you are; physically and mentally. It is also about not giving up hope and fighting until the end.
In the chorus, she sings the words which shows that she thinks that death may have been an easier option. But, she also sings "I've come too far to fade tonight" which means that she knows she has come too far to give up.
The words in the chorus show that she does not have anywhere to go or to hide, but she is going to keep fighting.
Also, the words "fight, or be taken out alive" mean that she will fight until she wins whatever she is fighting or is killed by whatever she is fighting.

This song is about depression and self-harm/self-injury. In the first verse, it explains how he feels alone and that everybody in his life who cares about him clearly can't see how he feels and what he is doing to himself to make himself feel something. It says that they do not understand what he's dealing with, even though they are around him most of the time, but not when he is alone in his room and harming himself because of all the people breaking him down. He can't ignore what they are telling him, and feels as if he was only born to have people break him down.
The song basically explains the feelings of someone going through depression and self-harm, and that his scars are from the war he had been facing against himself. His emotions are mixed up, and he thinks the only thing he can really rely on is his blood flowing from his self-injury wounds.

The song is about admitting that you can't do everything because you're only a human and are only capable of doing your best. It shows that you may need someone to help you out every so often, and that you do have feelings because you and everyone else are only human.
It also shows how easily other people can brush off someone else's pain when it says "They say pain is an illusion, this is just a bruise and you are just confused." Those lines explain how some people don't understand what someone else is going through, because those people don't know the other person's pain.
