I used to sing this song with my entire family before bed. It was a family tradition, and I remember always watching Barney, which although I am 13, I still don't mind watching it sometimes, I would always be super excited for when the Barney song came on. I love this awesome program, and I know that when I am older, my kids will definitely be watching this, and the family tradition will continue. And Barney is not pathetic, it is a happy go lucky kids TV show that teaches kids important life lessons. If you don't like it, no one ever said you had to watch it.

This song just confuses me big time. So, in his recent album, "Purpose", there is a song called "Sorry". And it is about Justin trying to apologize to a girl (I know it's Selena Gomez) and trying to get her back with him. That's totally normal. Whatever. Then, there's the song "Love Yourself", also about a girl (I know it's Selena Gomez) who he DOES NOT nor will ever care about again. The song is telling the girl to stop calling his phone and to go love yourself, because I don't anymore. It also mentions how his mama never liked her, but his mama liked everyone else. These two songs, most likely both about Selena, are exact opposites! Which one, do you want her back or do you hate her? I just realized these two song meanings, and I am mucho grande confused. I still love you Justin, but you confuse me. Talk about an on again off again relationship!

Explanation
"
I'll go, I'll go and then you go, you go out and spill the truth,
Can we both say the words and forget this
This to me means that he made mistakes when they were together, and she went out and told everyone the truth about his mistakes. But, he wants them to forget it all happened and get back together. Probably about Selena Gomez.

"
I'm not just trying to get you back on me
This means he does not just want her back for play in the bed, he does not want her back for her body. He wants her back for her, because he truly misses her and he knows he messed up.

When I first heard this song, the overall sadness and strong vocals stood out to me most. Then I started listening to it a lot, many times a day. I think the singer is losing someone, so he is unsteady about it. The whole song has a very melancholy fell to it, but it is still an amazing song. The line "If you love me, don't let go" emphasizes that someone is, or is intending to, leave him. This makes him unsteady, as he says in the song. This song is a plea, a cry for help in my eyes. I think that it is X Ambassadors best song yet. It is unlike many of their songs, this is slow and sad, and every other song is kind of fast and happy-ish.
