However instead of putting down our rebellion God showed us love. He came down to earth and preached His love to anyone that would listen. A lot of people hated Him for His message, because He broke down all their ideas about God they had at that time. A lot of people did not want to give up what they thought up about God. Paul wrote in Romans 1:21 "...they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused." So the anti-Jesus people hated Him, and try to kill Him every chance they found. However some people did accept Jesus.

When we first sinned we rebelled against God, we challenged his authority. Rebellion was incited and it blazed across His kingdom. He had every right to attack those that were in the rebellion. Some one however man ask "What gave God the right to rule?" Well when God was originally creating the earth, He started naming things. Such as the earth, night and day etc. Well in the Semitic culture that sprouted after God created people had a custom that whoever names something is claiming Lordship over it. So our act of rebellion could have been easily put down by God.

Now there is no doubt
There will be some knocking down
And dragging out
You built me up
And I'm forever changed
When someone becomes a Christian, they become a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." There dreams change, and desires change due to their new outlook on life. In fact the Bible even says in Galatians 2:20 "My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Paul is saying that his old sinful life is now dead, and now the life he is living is now found in Jesus. And due to Jesus now showing us how to live for Him, there will be knocking down, and dragging out due to our old sinful desires do not control us. Romans 6:6 says "We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin." As the verse says we are no longer slaves to sin, but yet sin is still going to be something that effects us till the day we die. However the longer we are with Jesus, and follow Him more we get farther, and farther away from sin. This is called progressive sanctification. Sometimes Jesus will tell us that we need to stop doing something that we really like to do, or forgive someone that we absolutely hate. There was someone that I did hate, and one day God told me that I needed to let it go. It was hard for me due to what this person had did, but I did forgive Him. Now I need to pray for him. I used to be a porn addict, but God told me that I needed to stop, due to it being sinful, there are several places in the Bible that show sex outside of marriage is sinful. 1 Corinthians 7:2 "But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband." There is pain in this change, but it is worth it in the long run. Romans 8:18 says "Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later."

In the acoustic version's music video they explain that God is their super hero, so this song is a cry to him begging for Him to come and help them. 1 Peter 5:7 says "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you." 2 Chronicles 16:9 says "The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him..." In the Psalms which were all songs about God, and to God about different things. Such as Psalms 42 was written by David, because he felt far away from God. Psalms 23 was a song that David wrote as a song to say "God I trust you." There are so many things in the Psalms, so many different themes going on. Not all of them, are happy and cherry, some are dark and depressing. While reading through one I almost start started crying, because of how severe this dude described his sadness as.

Genesis 1:1-5 says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day." As the verses say God created the Heavens, and Earth in one 24 hour day. This further supported by a verse in Exodus. Exodus 20:11 says "For in six days the LORD made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy." God was referring to the fact that it took Him one week to create the world, so He wanted the Israelites to take a Sabbath or day of rest like He did when He finished creating.

Isaiah 14: 12-20 says "How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world. For you said to yourself, ‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars. I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north. I will climb to the highest heavens. And be like the Most High.' Instead, you will be brought down to the place of the dead, down to its lowest depths.

Everyone there will stare at you and ask, ‘Can this be the one who shook the earth and made the kingdoms of the world tremble? Is this the one who destroyed the world.and made it into a wasteland? Is this the king who demolished the world’s greatest cities and had no mercy on his prisoners?' “The kings of the nations lie in stately glory, each in his own tomb, but you will be thrown out of your grave like a worthless branch. Like a corpse trampled underfoot, you will be dumped into a mass grave with those killed in battle. You will descend to the pit. You will not be given a proper burial, for you have destroyed your nation. And slaughtered your people. The descendants of such an evil person will never again receive honor."

Yes I remember clearly when he had me in his grip
The promises that blossomed into lies
Satan is the master of lies. In fact Jesus said in John 8:44 "For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies." So here we see Jesus is saying that Satan will try his best to lie to you. He will try and even deceive the ones that are Christians, in fact He did deceive the Galatians which was stopped when Paul wrote the letter to the Church in Galatia, which is now known as the Book of Galatians. He also shows how the world has been deceived by Satan keeping them from knowing God. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says "Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God." And about how he promises of Satan and how they are a clever lie check out Genesis 3.
