In listening to this song, I took it to mean that she is singing about the lover she has lost to some untimely death. "though you can't hear my voice", "to think I might not see those eyes", etc. I watched the video, and it seemed as if she was entering a dark graveyard, but it was hard to tell because if it was, it was an old one, her costume was older. It is a beautiful song. The first time I heard the song, It reminded me of my 17 year old son Zack who died in a car accident in Jan 2007. Coldplay was one of his favorite bands and I was not aware they sang this song as well. I will definitely have to listen to their version. J.
