I'm taking over my body
Back in control, no more shotty
I bet a lot of me was lost
"T"'s uncrossed and "I"'s undotted
I fought it a lot and it seems a lot like flesh is all I got
Not any more, flesh out the door, swat

I must'a forgot, you can't trust me
I'm open a moment and close when you show it
Before you know it I'm lost at sea
And now that I write and think about it
And the story unfolds
You should take my life
You should take my soul

You are surrounding all my surroundings
Sounding down the mountain range
Of my left-side brain
You are surrounding all my surroundings
Twisting the kaleidoscope
Behind both of my eyes

And I'll be holding on to you

Remember the moment
You know exactly where you're goin'
'Cause the next moment before you know it
Time is slowin' and it's rolling still
And the windowsill looks really nice, right?
You think twice about your life
It probably happens at night, right?

Fight it, take the pain, ignite it
Tie a noose around your mind
Loose enough to breath fine and tie it
To a tree tell it,
You belong to me, this ain't a noose
This is a leash and I have news for you
You must obey me!

You are surrounding all my surroundings
Sounding down the mountain range
Of my left-side brain
You are surrounding all my surroundings
Twisting the kaleidoscope
Behind both of my eyes

Entertain my faith

Lean with it, rock with it
When we gonna stop with it?
Lyrics that mean nothing
We were gifted with thought

Is it time to move our feet
To an introspective beat
It ain't the speakers that bump hard
It's our hearts that make the beat

And I'll be holding on to you

This song has many different meanings in it, but in all it has one main meaning. Throughout the whole song, he's talking about suicide, how nice it would be to go. But you have to get past that. Near the end of this song and most others he's written, It's about overcoming suicide. You are the master of your mind. You can overcome suicide. My favorite line is "tie a noose around your mind loose enough to brethe fine and tie it to a tree tell it you belong to me this ain't a noose this is a leash and I've got news for you you obey me!" All that is saying is you can stop your thoughts and be bright again. You can overcome suicide.

This song is about deep thought & what it brings about. As the writer looks at the world around him & the music within it he realises many things about himself & others. These realizations change his view of the world, even leading him to loose much of his faith in humanity. Through this time of enlightenment he clings to a constant person in his life ("and I'll be holding on to you").

A large part of his realisation is that being introverted kiss not a bad thing, even though we may be taught that it is. He begins to spend more time mulling over all of the world's various quandaries & learns that most problems can be solved through introspection & deep thought, yet is appalled by the simplicity of most music. He calls for a reworking of music, bringing it back to the art form it once was ("lean with it... stop with it").

At the very base of his discoveries, he finds self mastery. Controlling your thoughts ("you belong to me, this ain't a noose") & preventing the consistent person in his life from ruling his life ("...surrounding all my surroundings").

If you draw from other songs, you find him as a new writer, an insomniac, & an introvert, exploring & losing faith in his world.
