Thirsty Merc is a current Australian rock band fronted by singer/songwriter Rai Thistlethwayte with co-writer and bass player Phil Stack. Thirsty Merc began as duo of Thistlethwayte and Stack playing as session and live jazz musicians in New South Wales country town of Dubbo, turning to make soul and R&B tinged rock music.
