This is a purely political song and packs quite a punch when u finaly find out what it means

While many of mike's writings and much of what tdwp puts out is spiritually based, this song is purely political. Lyrics such as "dear politician; define sagacity", "nobody stands behind the ones they've selected", "the apathetic force us to persevere", and finally "your rebellion is resultless, so be angry at yourself" are all targeted at the american political system. Essentially, mike is questioning the judgment of authoritarian political figures whilst reminding american voters that the people are solely responsible for the election of those in power. He points out that negative media reporting of government officials and dissatisfaction with those in office are basically meaningless due to the fact that the problem (elected politicians) was created by ignorant voters. Brilliant, brilliant song.

To me this song, just like most of their songs are about how we are so consumed in this world, and how god is just sitting on the outside just waiting for us to come back, but most of us wont listen and just end up destroying ourselves cause no one stands behind another

I agree with jordy, good call

People pick what they truely want but they fall back to match with the masses when everyone is with them. No one stands for what they believe.

Wow, uhm, well if youre reading this, then i suppose you want to know the meaning. To me i think it means that we pick and choose who we follow, but when the time comes to stand for it,
you kinda fall back on it or you deny it or youre just not there fully. Which is kinda sad, but true for everyone.
