Love of my life
Look deep in my eyes
There you will find what you need

Give me your life
The lust and the lies
And the past you're afraid I might see
You've been running away from me

You're my beloved lover
I'm yours
Death shall not part us
It's you I died for
For better or worse
Forever we'll be
My love it unites us and it binds you to me
It's a mystery

Love of my life
Look deep in my eyes
There you will find what you need

I'm the giver of life
I'll clothe you in white
My immaculate bride you will be
Come running home to me

You're my beloved lover
I'm yours
Death shall not part us
It's you I died for
For better or worse
Forever we'll be
My love it unites us and it binds you to me

You've been a mistress, my wife
Chasing lovers that won't satisfy
Won't you let me make you my bride
You will drink of my lips and you'll taste new life

You're my beloved lover
I'm yours
Death shall not part us
It's you I died for
For better or worse
Forever we'll be
My love it unites us and it binds you to me
It's a mystery

Christ takes all that we have been struggling with and claims dominion over it on the cross! He and he alone fees us from our sin nature!

Why does he do that? Because we are his beloved! He loves us so much that he wants to take all the pain and suffering sin causes from us. We injure ourselves when we are living in sin. This is why he asks us not to do things. Not cause he wants to watch us suffer trying to do things that we like. But he wants to see us not harming ourselves. He loves us enough to take the harm from the sin on himself so that we can escape from the sin nature, and never look back. That change is freedom! Thank you god for loving me enough to save me from my sin nature every day!

Sometimes in life, we feel like god is just a god, but this song reminds me that he's my friend, the greatest lover, the only one that should matter. This song brought me back to what it means to be a child of the lord, and god has made me secure and confident in him again :)

Its jesus telling us, his church, that he loves us even though in the gospel we are called his "wayward wife", that no matter what, we are what he died for us!
