Last night I heard my own heart beating
Sounded like footsteps on my stairs
Six months gone and I'm still reaching
Even though I know you're not there
I was playing back a thousand memories baby
Thinking bout everything we've been through
Maybe I've been going back too much lately
When time stood still and I had you

Come back come back come back to me here like
You would you would if this was a movie
Stand in the rain outside till I came out
Come back come back come back to me like
You could you could if you just said you're sorry
I know that we could work it out somehow
But if this was a movie you'd be here by now

I know people change and these things happen
But I remember how it was back then
Locked up in your arms and our friends are laughing
Cause nothing like this ever happened to them
Now I'm pacing down the hall
Chasing down your street
Flashback to a night when you said to me
That nothing's gonna change not for me and you
Not before I knew how much I had to lose

Come back come back come back to me here like
You would you would if this was a movie
Stand in the rain outside till I came out
Come back come back come back to me like
You could you could if you just said you're sorry
I know that we could work it out somehow
But if this was a movie you'd be here by now

If you're out there, if you're somewhere, if you're moving on
I've be waiting for you ever since you've been gone
I just want it back the way it was before
And I just wanna see you back at my front door
And I'd say

Come back come back come back to me here like
You would before you said it's not that easy
Before the fight, before I left you out
But I'd take it all back now

Come back come back come back to me here like
You would you would if this was a movie
Stand in the rain outside till I came out
Come back come back come back to me like
You could you could if you just said you're sorry
I know that we could work it out somehow
But if this was a movie you'd be here by now

You'd be here by now
It's not the kind of ending you wanna see now
Baby what about the ending
Oh I thought you'd be here by now oh ohh ohh
Woah oh oh
That you'd be here by now

This song explains so much. All of her songs do. She gets deep in the meaning of so many feelings.
This song to me, explains how much she misses someone. I think everyone will feel this way about someone. About someone you have been done with for a while but still flashback and want somethings back or have some mixed emotions and thoughts that have been left alone. Only certain memories will make you feel so alive and real. This says to me that you are over this person but still miss the memories. And all you want is to relive them and to see this person and feel the happiness you once felt.

Life is not like a movie. It's not so easy, its not just that we say I love you and he'll say I love you too and everything becomes alright and the movie ends, a happy ending, in real life we have to maintain our relationship, keep our ego on the side and live it all. But still its not so easy. Misunderstandings, complications, pride, ego, and that's all keeps on breaking it up. Sometimes its better not to mind things and take it as fun and not creating a big issue of that.

This song tells that life isn't simple and successful like a movie. It has a lot of complications. And sometimes, no matter it's our mistake or other's, but if we have to solve it then we have to take the first step.
Sometimes its difficult to differentiate between self respect and ego, but we must listen to what our heart says and sometimes it doesn't matters whose mistake is it, but we still wants to apologize. That's b'coz we wanna solve the problem. But our mind stops us to do so. I also have a lot of problems in differentiating between, but I just wanna say, "respect your relationship more than ego, but not more than self-respect. "

A girl who feel hard for a guy but then they were separated, whether physically or mentally. The guy eventually moved on and no longer devotes much of his time to thinking about this girl. However the girl has yet to get over him; to come to the realization that he's gone. It's been six months and he still passes through her mind everyday. Now she sings this song just hoping that it will help her cope with her loneliness. She considers herself slightly crazy for not getting over this guy yet. All she wants is for things to go back to the way they were when they were together. All she wants is for life to be like what she's sees in the movies, a happily ever after.

The guy left her and she's feeling so sad she was very mad bout something that the guy did to her. But still she's hoping that the guy would came back to her and apologize, she would understand. But no, the guy didn't do as she wanted him to do. She was thinking on her mind that if her story was actually a movie, things would be much more better. But in reality, things don't go as easy as in movie. She'll accept it somehow although it was really hard for her to let him go slips trough her hand but there was nothing else she was able to do.
