I believe that this song is about him being very misserable until he meets someone who brings him to life (rebirthing) He meets her and the love they share together brings him up in spirits and makes him happy again
i think go with fallen prince i think this song is about love not baptism and how this person wasnt living till he met this girl and she made him live again...i mainly think tht cuz tht basically happened to me till i met my gf
Since they are a Christian rock band, I believe that as the others have said. Once you are baptized that you are born again or reborn, cause all your sins are washed away and it is as if you are beginning your life a new.
This song could be taken in a less literal way. The way he sings of love along with the other lyrics could mean that he felt like he had never lived until he met someone and that person made him feel as if he was reborn, even breathing properly for the first time.
