Come on in, take a seat.
Tell me how you feel this weak.
Are you cursed? Are you blessed?
Are you still inside the mess?
All those feelings wrapped around you,
Hold you down so you can't break through.
It's a trap, so don't ask. it's a shadow on
Your back. It don't burn, it don't bleed,
Still it cuts you at the knee.
All this pressure that surrounds you,
Holds you down but you know you
Gotta break through.

[Chorus]
Hey, ce la vie.
Remember me? I made you, dressed
And trained you.
Hey, it's bitter sweet.
You can't kill me with kindness,
I don't buy it.
Strip down, show me flesh and bone.
(Strip Down.)
'Cause now I own you.

Take a breath, hold it in.
Now look up, let's begin.
Lesson learned, take a turn.
Now you come around again,
All those feelings wrapped around you,
Hold you down so you can't break through.

Time is up, take your shot.
'Cause your story's all you got.
Don't back down, don't say no.
Just stay still and let go.
All this pressure that surrounds you,
Holds you down but you know
You've gotta break through.

[Chorus]
Hey, ce la vie.
Remember me? I made you, dressed
And trained you.
Hey, it's bitter sweet.
You can't kill me with kindness,
I don't buy it.
Strip down, show me flesh and bone.
(Strip Down.)
'Cause now I own you.

(You can't kill me with kindness, no I don't buy it.)
Strip down, show your flesh and bone.
'Cause now I own you.

[Chorus]
Hey, ce la vie.
Remember me? I made you, dressed
And trained you.
Hey, it's bitter sweet.
You can't kill me with kindness,
I don't buy it.
Strip down, show me flesh and bone.
(Strip Down.)
'Cause now I own you.

Now I own you. [x3]
You know I own you.

From what i can tell, it's about dealing with either addiction or another psychological problem. "come on in, take a seat, tell me how you feel this week" sounds like it is referring to someone going to their weekly appointment with their therapist. "all these feelings left around you, hold you down so you can't break through" is pretty self explanatory; they need to break free from their problem, but their emotions are holding them back. "it's a trap, so son't ask" could be their inner self telling them not to seek help (i have that problem, as do most people i know who have problems. "it don't burn, it don't bleed, still it cuts you at the knees" could be talking about how it can keep them from doing something they want or from reaching their full potential, even though there's nothing outside of themself getting in the way. "i made you, dressed and trained you" could be taking about how a problem like this can really change how they are. Depending on what the problem is, it can make you paranoid, it can make you afraid of just about everything, you could start to avoid something you used to love because it could trigger something, you could start ignoring friends and family, you could become angry, you could start stealing or doing other illegal things, ect. "you can't kill me with kindness, you know i don't buy it" could be taking about how people try to help the person, but nothing seems to work
