I can't say I love or hate this song since I've never heard it before, but the lyrics look promising!!! It's about a woman who lives by her own rules and won't be told what to do...

This song means to me a free spirited woman, her heart is untamed "a gambler spinning wheels". Who knows to be with him but not to give her all for him, remaining elusive and dreamy to his eyes always. She's hurt in the past "A poisoned victim but look of steel" with the coldest hearts and hands shows how he's limited to how he can change her from Ice Queen to Warm Kitten type of girl. So he positions himself to know what it is like to be her, what is she thinking, what is blocking her to be with him forever "Taking down, on your way. A million miles, still no headway. As I learn to live long, In a mind I'm proud to roam." So when she is there in a physical form to him lying next to him, he cannot believe it, why would she want to be with him as either way she's a mystery with or without him in his mind.
Then the truth were told whatever this truth maybe, he doesn't like hearing it, or was unprepared or it’s a sudden catastrophe of a news his reactions were without thinking showing his bitter side he kept hidden on a "A reckless night, she hears me breathe, Cursing the sky at this company. But still with or without her forever he is haunted by her in his thoughts he can't believe what he had with her was real, scary and not fake, which causes the mystery as well as her being itself is a mystery too and the fact that she comes and goes at any time is all a mystery to him. Perhaps he realises after what has happened he can never have her always as "She said my destiny lies in the hands that set me free", until they can unlock the mystery of eliminating what blocks their freedom to love one another and be real forever.
