I think this song means when you fight with someone. Its alot diffrent when its someone you love rather someone you hardly know. you dont want to hurt the person you love. But with a strange you dont care. I love all the saosin songs. I can realtate to them.

Is this annoying anyone else? Lyricsmode doesn't have the right lyrics up here! I tried correcting them and then today I got an email that said my corrections had been accepted, so I came here to check it out, and the lyrics didn't change, they're still the same! Is anyone else annoyed by this? Because it's bugging the crap out of me!

I love this song to death man, it's really helping me get through this situtation I'm stuck in. I've actually loved every Sasosn lyric I've ever read, they're just so different yet amazing.

I think it's talking about maybe a break up where you know you'll get back together, or just a fight you know your relationship will live through. Or, like how I relate to it, even two people who really like each other but aren't togther.

Like, "we speak in different voices" is saying you're not saying things like you usually would. Like you don't want the other to know how you really feel about the fight/break up/not being together.

And I think the "why can't we say what we're thinking of?" refers to, not saying how you really feel about the fight/break up/not being together even more. Only here, you want them to know without really having to say it. So it's like, you're leaving subtle little hints everywhere. And you're both just wondering why you can't say what you're really thinking and feeling.

Then the rest of the song, I think is just building on the ideas represented by the chorus, as well as trying to tell their own story of whats going on with the person they may be fighting with, or broken up with, or just want to be with.

I really, really love this song. I could seriously listen to Saosin like all day straight, they just have such good lyrics, and beats, and both Cove and Annthony sound amazing. I love the band, there are so many of their songs on my mp3 player it's hard to find other bands some times, hahaha. I have a few other bands it's like that with too. :]
