Laid the blessings on the ground
Softening of sound draws us closed again
Stay, stay and watch the coals
Till they cease to glow like empty promises

Why, why did you go?
Why did you go away?
Why, why did you go?
Why did you go away baby?

There's nothing I can say, nothing I can do
To bring you back again
This of life I know is true
It's all fallen through and so I reach for you

Why, why did you go?
Why did you go away?
Why, why did you go?
Why did you go away?

Don't you care? It may seem unfair
Steal the things you ought to borrow
Don't you find it may seem unkind?
I'd rather breathe than drown in sorrow

Why, why did you go?
Why did you go away?
Why, why did you go?
Why did you go away baby?

Too sad for me to mention right now... A friend in danger yet wishes not to accept his past or the threat of his future... A matter of life and death

this may be about a misscarrage. the chosen seed wasn't ready to leave his cloud of witnesses. so the father spilled his seed on the ground and caused the witnesses to commit sin. he did this to prepare a place for the child. he needed to communicate with the father and develope the child
