In pitch dark
I go walking in your landscape
Broken branches
Trip me as I speak
Just cos you feel it
Doesn't mean it's there
Just cos you feel it
Doesn't mean it's there [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/r/radiohead/there_there.html ]
There's always a siren
Singing you to shipwreck
(Don't reach out, don't reach out
Don't reach out, don't reach out)
Steer away from these rocks
We'd be a walking disaster
(Don't reach out, don't reach out
Don't reach out, don't reach out)
Just cos you feel it
Doesn't mean it's there
(Someone on your shoulder
Someone on your shoulder)
Just cos you feel it
Doesn't mean it's there
(Someone on your shoulder
Someone on your shoulder)
There there!

When i worked at night, and this song played in my walk man on my way to work, specially in winter and the lyrics was totally meaningful... Kind of creepy...
First of all, one of my favorite newer radiohead songs. Fav from the album, too. Love it. As for the meaning it had for me before the lyrics were read: hmmm. Don't really know. Things happen that we think happen and sometimes we think things are a certain way and then we find out that they are not really like what we thought. Thom is a bit schizo and close to having paranoia so i'd say he relates to this song. The sirens are something that is believed to be what we want, they call us, but danger lurks the nearer we get to them, often ending in a wreck for our lives when we hit their rocks.
