This song has changed my life in so many ways... Paramore is truly one of the best bands out there.

I think this song is about some one who has experienced a lot of bad things and seen bad things where they are no longer innocent because hey know things they shouldn't knw and wants to stay safe inside scared of what outside would do to him or her because that's what they were getting a lot of this exposure from ... They are stuck in the dark with the remembrance of those bad times and need someone to restore someone special that can make them at peace within ones self again and personally a lot of people say it is about god i truly don't believe in him sometimes like i question if he's real but i don't want you to judge me because i don't have god in the way i think the song is about

I am outside/keep me safe inside: pretty self-explanatory. Also, it's interesting to note that it's dark outside, since she's waiting for the sun.

I think the second verse (lock the doors... ) is about the narrator hearing god's message and wanting to share it with others (that's why she wants to "capture this voice") and the "show myself it isn't forged/red lights" refer to her occasional moods where she doubts and then proves to herself that it god's words are true.

The "i'll take the truth at any cost" is an amazing statement. I don't know the right word for it...

This song is about god. It's about him making us whole. He is the only one who can fill the gap in our lives. When it says "give us life again, cause we just wanna be whole" it's saying god give us life because we want to feel whole and happy. And the only way to be completely and honestly happy is through god. When it says 'lock the doors i'd like to capture this voice that came to me tonight, so everyone will have a choice. And under red lights i'll show myself it wasn't forged we're at war. We live like this. " it is saying i'd like to capture this voice (god's voice. ) so everyone will have a choice, choosing god to fix your problems or yourself. I'll show myself it wasn't forged, she's showing herself that god spoke to her, and it's not a lie from the devil. We're at war, a spiritial war, jesus is coming back soon and there is a huge spiritial war goning on now, the devil is trying to get as many people as he can so they don't follow god. Also, when she says 'i'll take the truth at any cost. " shes saying i'll talke jesus no matter what. When she sings the chorus shes saying the world is broken. Shes saying that they don't know how to be happy and find the peace that only jesus can give. The promises and love, the innocence and peace that you can only get through jesus christ!

I like this song alot and it took me alot of tries to figure out what this song was about and its about god. I'm pretty confident it is. It couldn't be about anything else.
