i think maybe that her boyfriend cheated on her and she doesn't know how to handle it. She still wants to be with him and wants to forgive him and doesn't want to "be alone." she feels betrayed and feels as if everything they meant to each other doesn't matter anymore..
I Think this song is about how she was in a previous relationship where she loved someone with all her heart and then they broke up and she still wants wants to be together but when they do get back together,he changes and isn't the same person she was in love with,but she's pretending that she stills loves him at this point so she wont be alone.
