You escape like a runaway train
Off the tracks and down again
And my heart's beating like a steamboat tugging
All your burden, on my shoulder

And in the mourning, I'll rise
In the mourning, I'll let you die
In the mourning, all my worry

And now there's nothing but time that's wasted
And words that have no backbone
Now it seems like the whole world's waiting
Can you hear the echoes fading?

And in the mourning, I'll rise
In the mourning, I'll let you die
In the mourning, all my sorry

And it takes all my strength
Not to dig you up, from the ground in which you lay
The biggest part of me
You were the greatest thing
And now you're just a memory to let go of

In the mourning, I'll rise
In the mourning, I'll let you die
In the mourning, all my sorry

In the morning, I'll rise
In the morning, I'll let you die
In the morning, all my sorry

To me this song is about how much they are missing someone special to their heart and the fact that they will remember them within their memories but they have to move on and they don't want to till they have to. It's to show how much their hearts are hurting from this lost but they know they will always remember them as they have touched their hearts forever and they will grow will that person always watching over them no matter what will happen they'll pick up the pieces left behind.

I think it's about the farros leaving. Taylor, jeremy, and hayley were all really hurt by it and it must seem like a part of them has died but they're trying to let go and move on. They're trying to let the echoes of their past with the farros fade.

It's got to be a goodbye song to the paramore of old... Esp putting landslide in there.. "i've been afraid of changing because i've built my life around you... " they all grew up on this train together... The echoes to me are the fans... Will they loose them now. In their deep dispair and mourning they will rise... And they will let the ones who left them rip

I think its about people that we have to let go cause they are not there anymore they are just memories to let go... And we feel sorry, cry, or be sad but they are memories that will eventually fade cause of their absence...
    The biggest part of me
    You were the greatest thing
And now you're just a memory to let go of
