Clouds are marching along, singing a song, just like they do.
If the clouds were singing a song, I'd sing along, wouldn't you too?
If you just knew, what they could do.
Oh if you just knew, what would they do?
And if the birds are just hollow words, flying along, singing a song,
What would they do, if they just knew what they could do?
Oh, if they just knew.

I know it's sad that I never gave a damn about the weather,
And it never gave a damn about me.[x2]
No, it never gave a damn about me.

I know it's mad, but if I go to hell will you come with me?
Or just leave?
I know it's mad, but if the world were ending would you kiss me?
Or just leave me?
Just leave me?

Clouds are singing a song, marching along, just like they do.
If the clouds were playing a song, I'd play along.
Wouldn't you too?
If you just knew, what they could do.
Oh if you just knew, what would they do?
And if words are just hollow birds, flying along, singing a song,
What would they do?
If they just knew, what we could do.
Oh, if they just knew.

I know it's sad that I never gave a damn about the weather,
And it never gave a damn about me.[x2]
No, it never gave a damn about me.

I know it's mad, but if I go to hell will you come with me?
Or just leave?
I know it's mad, but if the world were ending
Would you kiss me?
Or just leave me?
Just leave me?

I know it's sad that I never gave a damn about the weather,
And it never gave a damn about me.[x4]
No, it never gave a damn about me.

    I love this song.
    I believe it's about a great day.

"The clouds are marching along, singing a song"-- Like when it's just one of those days were the clouds are so beautiful and just keep moving along, never really creating a cloudy day. Just awesome.

"I know it's mad, but if I go to hell will you come with me? Or just leave me?"-- First off I think they(I think mainly Ryan.) used the hell line because he's atheist and atheists' are all supposedly going to hell. But onwards, I think the general meaning of those lines are asking if their special someone really loves them( Hence "Or just leave me?").

"I know it's sad that I never gave a damn about the weather, and it never gave a damn about me" -- I think it means that they never really noticed the weather before but when they did it was bad weather. Like a rainy day, or a snow storm, or thunder storm. Ya know, the ones people don't usually like. So, I think this line symbolizes that whenever they had a bad day they would recognize the weather and it'd be raining(or something). But today, they're having a great day and notice the weather. And the weather is wonderful.

    Love Panic forever.

    It has multiple meanings.

Panic's trying to imply a good day into a song.
All they're doing is sitting around,
Possibly on a date talking to the Girlfriend...

    Thoughts and relaxation.

    No drugs implied.

I don't really know why, but to me this song seems like someone in the band was in love with someone once, but they never noticed him. (i know its mad... ) so, he gave up. (i know it's sad... )
but now that they are famous, she notices him. The guy realizes that the girl may think that the lyrics in the songs that talk about love could refer to her. (oh, if you just knew, what they do, oh if you just knew, what would you do. )
but by this time, the guy is already over her. (i know its sad... )

I honestly think it's about a guy trying to come to terms with a really harsh break up. Mainly because of the line "i know it's sad that i never damn about the weather, and it never gave a damn about me. No, it never gave a damn about me"

Kind of sounds like he's trying to convince himself that he never cared about his significant other. The whole 'i know it's mad" parts can't help but make me think he's trying to ask himself questions he already knows the answer to: no, this person won't.

There are a variety of meanings to this song, in my opinion i think the song is about a man who never noticed the world around him and when he opened his eyes he was mesmerized by the environment around him and took more of an interest in it 'clouds are marching around, singing a song, just like they do' he also noticed how the clouds will always continue to march and the birds will always sing no matter how his day has been, meaning things don't revolve around him, once he opens his eyes he worries whether his loved ones will always be there for him or leave him 'i know it's mad, but if i go to hell will you come with me? Or just leave me? ' but he knows no matter who leaves him he will always have the birds and clouds to guide him through life.
