It consumes me, controls me, leaves me with nothing
But you know that I love how it tastes, fear and the fate.
I'll change face to get what I crave; fill my veins.

This gets me by (you know it feels good, you know it feels so good)
The drugs that keep me high (you know it feels so good, but you know it all
Feels so fake)

Product of a murderer, you stole everything from me.
This poison hurts; feels so empty.
Fill my veins with this sin
Shaking on the ground
My head's going crazy from within.
Cold sweats; shaking in my shame.
Heart stops; dying where I lay.

This gets me by (you know it feels good, you know it feels so good)
The drugs that keep me high (you know it feels so good, but you know it all
Feels so fake)
These drugs that keep me high

Sense of reality, perception falls, feels so empty.
Cold sweats, the pain, skin crawls, the shame.
Please save me
Please save me
This is the way I wanted to live
But you know, I was scared of the world
Praying it all would go away.

I think everyone just writes what they wish the song to be about, because somehow it relates to their life. That's why everyone dose not get the same moral out of a song. But I think this song is about how he hates using the drugs but he is addicted and does not know how live without them. "it consumes me, controls me, leaves me with nothing.
But you know that I love how it tastes, fear and the fate. " and also it shows how he only used the drugs to mask his demons inside him.

This is another song about his mom. Well, not really about his mom, kind of talking to his mom. He's telling her that he always wanted to live the way he is now, getting his lyrics out there with his amazing vocals, but he was afraid. And when his mom died, he took action, like he says in "second and sebring". "i believe it's time for me to be famous and out of place, i believe it's time for me to move forward and break through".

Yeah, this song is about addiction no doubt. Shay has a hard drug problem and stuggles with serious depression, it's why he left the band. You can kinda tell if you watch interviews with shay in them, he kinda seems like he's dying inside. The only thing that you might have to look deeper into is the "product of a murderer" which is referring to the drugs, but why he calls it that, I don't know. Everything else in this song is to be taken at face value though, no doubt in my mind.
