Trying to pick up the pace,
Trying to make it so I never see your face again.
Time to throw this away want to make sure that you never waste my time
Again.

How does it feel?
Oh how does it feel to be you right now dear?
You brought this upon, so pick up your piece and go away from here.

Please just let me go now.
Please just let me go.
Would you please just let me go now?
Please just let me go.

I'm going to get you.
I'm going to get you.
I'm going to get you out of my head.
Get out.

I'm going to get you.
I'm going to get you.
I'm going to get you out of my head.
Get out.

Never said we'd be friends,
Trying to keep myself away from you,
'Cause you're bad, bad news.

With you gone, I'm alive,
Makes me feel like I took happy pills,
And time stood still.

How does it feel?
Oh how does it feel to be the one shut out?
You broke all the rules.
I won't be a fool for you no more my dear.

Get out.

He either left her for someone else or cheated and they are over because of it. Her broken heart is in recovery and she's making sure he knows... Even if you want to come back to me.. I'm happier now and i don't want you back.

She is finally dumping him because he never treated her right and she's going to move on as she is already feeling better since she said goodbye to him. She feels like she took a happy pill but it is just the letting go and she's just trying to verbalize getting him out of her head.

I think she is still sad and haunted by the hold this man had on her heart. She is symbollically killing him in the video to "get him out of her head", so that she can move on. For now, she is just going through the motions with the new guy. She doesn't actually sound or look happy in the video, or in the tone and rythym of this song. Happy pills are artificial joy...

Thank you jason for dumping me- you were such a grump and such a stressful person- truthfully i will live life a lot happier without you or your family pulling me down. I shouldnt have wasted so much time letting you bring me down- because i am so much happier without you! :)

The meaning of this song is basically now that she is getting rid of the man she loves but doesn't treat her right, she feels like she has taken "happy pills" and she now feels the weight of his dead weight off of her. She feels free, happy, and independent.
