And if you save yourself you will make him happy
He'll keep you in a jar and you'll think you're happy
He'll give you breathing holes and you'll think you're happy
He'll cover you with grass and you'll think you're happy
Now...
You're in a laundry room
You're in a laundry room
Conclusion came to you
Aaah [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/n/nirvana/sappy.html ]
And if you cut yourself you will think you're happy
He'll keep you in a jar and you'll make him happy
He'll give you breathing holes then you'll think you're happy
He'll cover you with grass then you'll think you're happy
Now...
You're in a laundry room
You're in a laundry room
Conclusion came to you
Aaah
You're in a laundry room
You're in a laundry room
Conclusion came to you
Aaah
And if you fool yourself you will make him happy
He'll keep you in a jar and you'll think you're happy
He'll give you breathing holes and you'll think you're happy
You'll wallow in your shit then you'll think you're happy
Aaaahh
You're in a laundry room
You're in a laundry room
You're in a laundry room
Conclusion came to you
Aah

Kurt was deep, but he also had a wicked sense of humor. I think this is about a pet, plain and simple.

It could be about animals/pets in general, not necessarily his, but a metaphor for human life/relationships... Could be about women in relationships, not necessarily a man that is abusive, but the typical marriage, a loss of individuality and personal autonomy, power, possible possessiveness and control, i related to it on a ersonal level bc i just got divorced and felt that sense of being trapped by a husband who tried to convince me i was hapy when i wasnt and i was being controlled, not abuse, but definitely control... And teh laundry room could be a metaphor for domestic hell... I can relate...

This song is about his pet turtles. Not about any struggles he went through in life or the government. His turtles.

I imagine it's about an unhappy marriage, in which the husband is a psycho and a tyrant, the wife failed to notice it before the marriage and now it's too late and she can't leave him because she is emotionally bonded with him.
