How the hell did we wind up like this
Why weren't we able
To see the signs that we missed
And try to turn the tables
I wish you'd unclench your fists
And unpack your suitcase
Lately there's been too much of this
Don't think it's too late
Nothin's wrong
Just as long as
You know that someday I will
Someday, somehow
Gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when
(You're the only one who knows that)
Someday, somehow
Gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when
Well i hoped that since we're here anyway
We could end up saying
Things we've always needed to say
So we could end up straying
Now the story's played out like this
Just like a paperback novel
Lets rewrite an ending that fits
Instead of a hollywood horror
Nothin's wrong
Just as long as
You know that someday I will [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/n/nickelback/someday.html ]
Someday, somehow
Gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when
(You're the only one who knows that)
Someday, somehow
Gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when
(You're the only one who knows that)
[Solo]
How the hell did we wind up like this
Why weren't we able
To see the signs that we missed
And try to turn the tables
Now the story's played out like this
Just like a paperback novel
Lets rewrite an ending that fits
Instead of a hollywood horror
Nothin's wrong
Just as long as
You know that someday I will
Someday, somehow
Gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when
(You're the only one who knows that)
Someday, somehow
Gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when
(You're the only one who knows that)
I know you're wondering when
(You're the only one who knows that)
I know you're wondering when

By simplyrina on apr 10th 2010 11:51 pm share"someday, somehow... Gonna make it alright but not right now" this is my favorite line in the song... To michael... Guess this isnt the right time for both of us... It just doesnt work for now... But i will, someday find a way to be with you again...
By shreesempress on mar 28th 2010 7:37 pm sharefor this song, i am in the boyfriend's shoes, not in the fact that i am dead but in the sense that i am trying to figure out a way to fix a relationship. Not that i hurt the guy but i truly love him and its hurting both of us not to be together due to another situation.
By wwegirl7778 on nov 21st 2009 10:16 pm shareme and my friend bruno used to sing this together. [ sniffles] and everytime he put this on his psp, he always started to sing it and i used to join him. But then i probably ignored him one time and he never wanted to be my friend again. So this song is a tribute to me and bruno's friendship. I miss ya man, i hope you no that.

By lyricallies on aug 20th 2008 10:52 am share+1 first of all, the lyrics seem to tell of a couple in an argument, and the guy would like to makeup with the girl. But the video to the song gives more meaning. I shall explain. :)
At the start we see a girl reading the headline of a newspaper and throwing it down, knocking over a glass of milk. She is very upset. It looks as though she is angry at her boyfriend, and when she packs the suitcase, she is leaving him. But if you look close enough, she doesn't actually say anything to him, even though he is asking her what is going on. Notice she steps in the milk and leaves footprints, whereas when he steps in it, he leaves no footprints. Then she gets into the car and the guy is begging her not to go. Also notice that when she adjusts the mirror, you don't see the guy's reflection. Then the girl is in a car crash, and her ghost comes over to her boyfriend, who then realizes he is in fact dead. The newspaper headline at the end is man dies in tragic bridge accident. And the photo is of the boyfriend. That is the same story the girl read at the start. Bless 'em. :)
