Never made it as a wise man
I couldn't cut it as a poor man stealin'
Tired of livin' like a blind man
I'm sick of sight without a sense of feelin'
And this is how you remind me

This is how you remind me
Of what I really am
This is how you remind me
Of what I really am

It's not like you to say sorry
I was waitin' on a different story
This time I'm mistaken
For handin' you a heart worth breakin'

And I've been wrong, I've been down
Been to the bottom of every bottle
These five words in my head
Scream, "Are we havin' fun yet?"

Yet, yet, yet, no, no
Yet, yet, yet, no, no

It's not like you didn't know that
I said I love you and I swear I still do
And it must have been so bad
'Cause livin' with me must have damn near killed you

And this is how you remind me
Of what I really am
This is how you remind me
Of what I really am

It's not like you to say sorry
I was waitin' on a different story
This time I'm mistaken
For handin' you a heart worth breakin'

And I've been wrong, I've been down
Been to the bottom of every bottle
These five words in my head
Scream, "Are we havin' fun yet?"

Yet, yet, yet, no, no
Yet, yet, yet, no, no
Yet, yet, yet, no, no
Yet, yet, yet, no, no

Never made it as a wise man
I couldn't cut it as a poor man stealin'
And this is how you remind me
This is how you remind me

This is how you remind me
Of what I really am
This is how you remind me
Of what I really am

It's not like you to say sorry
I was waitin' on a different story
This time I'm mistaken
For handin' you a heart worth breakin'

And I've been wrong, I've been down
Been to the bottom of every bottle
These five words in my head
Scream, "Are we havin' fun yet?"

Yet, yet, are we havin' fun yet?
Yet, yet, are we havin' fun yet?
Yet, yet, are we havin' fun yet?
Yet, yet, no, no

It really means that you should give people a 2nd chance. This song reminds me of breaking up with my best girlfriend ever.

This song has a both a micro relationship message, as well as a macro political message. The political message is how women use political correctness (in the form of public shaming), false statistics, and false messages (lies) to knock men down and attack men’s self esteem.

Lies like "domestic violence (dv) has a male abuser and female victim" (which dv, has been proven to be equal (50/50). And “men get paid more for doing the same job” (but first they are not the same job (men work the "mud floor" which means all the dirty jobs, as well as the high risk and dangerous jobs), and second men work longer hours (80% of workaholics are men). The important differences between men and women are found in motivation rather than ability).

By stating these false statistics as the truth, women imply that men are lesser creatures, less evolved, less human, more like animals. "this is how you remind me of what i really am. "

This abuse is one way women control men, and the media plays along and validates this abuse by showing that men deserve this abuse. (just watch the daytime talk shows that make women feel good about themselves by vilifying men, or advertisements which show men as idiots and women as the voice of reason. Let's look at how bad men are, and how much women have to put up with. "livin' with me must have damn near killed you. " in a sarcastic tone. )

All this abuse leads men to depression, to the "bottom of every bottle" (alcoholism is a symptom of depression), and asking the question (only in his head for fear or retribution, even though the abuse is eating him to the core) "are we having fun yet? " (which is also a statement on how male and female relations have deteriorated over the years due to females pushing for everything to be their way. ) and the answer is "no, no"

It's about people thinking they know you, that they've got you figured out. And they're constantly trying to keep you down by reminding you who they think you are, and of every bad decision from your past, drinking, drugs, whatever. But the person writing this song is upset, because they know that that's not them anymore, and they want a second chance.
