Mama we all go to hell,
Mama we all go to hell.
I'm writing this letter and wishing you well,
Mama we all go to hell.

Oh well now,

Mama we're all gonna die,
Mama we're all gonna die.
Stop asking me questions,
I'd hate to see you cry
Mama we're all gonna die.

And when we go don't blame us, yeah
We'll let the fires just bathe us, yeah
You made us oh so famous,
We'll never let you go,
And when you go don't return to me my love.

Mama we're all full of lies,
Mama we're meant for the flies
And right now they're building a coffin your size,
Mama we're all full of lies.

Well mother, what the war did to my legs and to my tongue,
You should have raised a baby girl,
I should have been a better son.
If you could
Coddle the infection
They can amputate at once.
You should have been,
I could have been a better son.

And when we go don't blame us, yeah
We'll let the fires just bathe us, yeah
You made us oh so famous,
We'll never let you go.
She said 'You ain't no son of mine',
For what you done they're gonna find, yeah,
A place for you and just you mind,
Your manners when you go.
And when you go don't return to me my love.

That's right.

Mama we all go to hell,
Mama we all go to hell.
It's really quite pleasant,
Except for the smell.
Mama we all go to hell.

Two, three, four.

And if you would call me your sweetheart,
I'd maybe then sing you a song.

But the shit that I've done,
With this fuck of a gun,
You would cry out your eyes all along.

We're damned after all,
Through fortune and flame we fall.
And if you can say then I'll show you the way to return from the ashes you call...

We all carry on,
When our brothers in arms are gone.
So raise your glass high,
For tomorrow we die,
And return from the ashes you call...

(Woman Crying In Background)

well we all know the black parade cd gives off a story about the patient
well i think this song is about the patient looking back on his life and realizing that he did some terrible sins, unlike in house of wolves wear he's begging for forgivness in this song he's realizing theres no other option and saying his goodbyes wich are fairly pain ful to tell someone like a family member that once he reviewed his life they all sinned and that they are all going to hell

im probubly lost on some aspect of it, idunno!

I love this song so much! I believe that it means how a son went off to war to fight, but the mother didn't want him to go because she didn't want him to kill other people since she believed you will go to hell for doing so. The son disobeys and leaves and then comes back, finding that his mother despises his actions of participating in the violence of war. This angers the son since he nearly died out there and all she could think of is how he will go to hell. Therefore the "Mama, we all go to hell" is him saying that to her out of anger.

    i absolutely LOVE this song
and truthfuly i think the song isn't about another soldier,
I think it sybolises that we all have things we regret in life
and because of that we will go to hell,
that no one will go to heven because of the sins in our lives.

well... in answer to harlequiN015, maybe the reason why the title is "MAMA" is because this song is addressed to his mom... the topic may not be about the mother but the 1st person (the singer) is speaking to his mom and he's sharing how sinful his life became and what he had realized after doing all those things... the 1st person obviously lived a miserable life, and of course if we live a miserable life, the person who's going to be hurt the most is our mom, is that correct?
because everything that we do will backfire to our parents, especially our mom because mothers are responsible for bringing up their children... so that's about it...
maybe it's also a reflection how the guy was brought up by his parents...

well, i dunno if you'll accept this explanation... it's just my opinion...

My interpratation is Mother War(Liza Minnelli)had 5 sons who went to war and before they left, she disowned them by saying'you ain't no son of mine" and they died and she felt so guilty that she said all those horrible things to them.I don't care what this song's about, everyone has a different interpratation.MCR 4EVER!:D
