Meriwether – About An Apparition lyrics

If you could speak, you wouldn't speak to me
It's not worth your time to sacrifice for mine
If you could fall, you wouldn't fall at all... at all
You say your grace to save your face

I haven't come this far to let you bring me down
And even if you try, I'll never turn around... around

It's about an apparition
It's about me

You're playing God, and I wish you not
If you could fly, you'd save the night
If you could fall, you wouldn't fall at all... at all
You say your grace to save your face

It's almost like he's a nobody that's trying to get the attention of someone that wants nothing to do with him. An apparition is a ghost, and the person "wouldn't speak to me". Apparently the person covers up a lie, by saying grace (or acting like they're something they're not). He's just saying that this person isn't going to keep him back from getting where he wants to go.
I dunno, maybe I'm just looking too deep into it. But gosh darnit I tried!
