Maroon 5 – Tangled lyrics
[Verse 1]
I'm full of regret
For all things that I have done and said
And I don't know
If it'll ever be ok to show my face around here
Sometimes I wonder if I disappear

[Pre-Chorus]
Would you ever turn your head and look?
See if I'm gone
'Cause I fear

[Chorus]
There is nothing left to say to you
That you wanna hear
That you wanna know
I think I should go
The things I've done are way too shameful
Oh

[Verse 2]
You're just innocent
A helpless victim of a spider's web
And I'm an insect
Goin' after anything that I can get

[Pre-Chorus]
So you better turn your head and run
And don't look back
'Cause I fear

[Chorus]
There is nothing left to say to you
That you wanna hear
That you wanna know
I think I should go
The things I've done are way too shameful
Oh
And I've done you so wrong
Treated you bad
Strung you along
Oh, shame on myself
I don't know how I got so tangled up

[Bridge]
Oh, oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah

[Pre-Chorus]
You better turn your head and run
See if I'm gone
'Cause I fear

[Chorus]
There is nothing left to say to you
That you wanna hear
That you wanna know
I think I should go
The things I've done are way too shameful
Oh
And I've done you so wrong
Treated you bad
Strung you along
Oh, shame on myself
I don't know how I got so tangled up
Tangled

[Outro]
And I've done you so wrong
Treated you bad
Strung you along
Oh, shame on myself
I don't know how I got so tangled up

Well, obviously, he realizes that he has been playing women all along, and then of course, he meets somebody he really does like and is afraid he can't change his 'tangled' ways, and so he warns her and says that he has 'done her so wrong', been bad to her when she doesn't deserve it, and he is apologizing. If a guy cheated on or lied to me, I would want to hear him say these things to me, and it shows a soft side to commonly heartless womanizers. A true adam levine classic, sincere and sweet.
