There's something cold and blank behind her smile
She's standing on an overpass
In her miracle mile
[coma:]
"You were from a perfect world
A world that threw me away today
Today to run away"

A pill to make you numb
A pill to make you dumb
A pill to make you anybody else
But all the drugs in this world
Won't save her from herself

Her mouth was an empty cut
And she was waiting to fall
Just bleeding like a polaroid that
Lost all her dolls
[coma:]
"You were from a perfect world
A world that threw me away today
Today to run away"

A pill to make you numb
A pill to make you dumb
[chorus repeat]

This is who I used to be, and might still be. I'm trying to escape the body that holds me hostage. The mind that tells me lies. The people who are enemies, bitches and back stabbers! DRUGS, the only things that answers my questions and lets my see myself for who I truly am.

    Peace!

A pill to make you numb
A pill to make you dumb
Sometimes all i really want is to be numb, feeling nothing sounds pretty good when what you do feel makes you want to drop dead.
A pill to make you anybody else
Sometimes i wonder why everyone else i know seems happy with their life, and i wish i could be anybody, any one of them, so long as i don't have to feel like this any more.
But all the drugs in this world won't save her from herself
No matter what i do, i am who i am. This line comforts me, makes me feel like who i am really might not be so terrible after all.

this song relates to eveyone at some point in thier life. At one point in like, even the happiest person will realize that they're nothing but a slave to a world that is just waiting to throw us away. as comedyloser said, manson represtents things everyone relates to in some way, and truthfuly, that might be what makes him so damn successful
