This sounds like they are in a long distance relationship, or like the group is going on a tour and leaving behind the people they love. And the girl or loved one is making the tour all worth while i dunno?

This is definetly not about suicide or breakup. It's about being in a band on the road and touring. It says "say hello to state lines, seperate our whole lives. " because their leaving their bome lives behind to tour. They're saying that we as fans make it all worth while though. =)

This song is about their fans... "they sing our songs, they cheer us on, and make it all worth while. "
also it is about being in a band... You have to give up a lot but pierrick means that it's worth it for the fans. The "say goodbye to girlfriend" part means you have to either break up or bare with a long distance relationship.

This is either a suicidal song, or a break up song. "so, this isn't where you thought we'd be, you explained. And now, you leave it up to me. "
the above lines seem to make it look like a breakup song. "farewell, my love. Say "hello" to state lines, separate our whole life. Farewell, my love. Say "goodbye" to girlfriend, you'll text her from the road. " these lines seem to be kinda suicidal, saying that the guy has had enough of the stuff the girl is doing, and is walking out of the relationship. Idk, it's my opinion.
