Seems somebody put out the moon
Now the road is a minefield
I can't follow the way she moves
I can't see past the shadows
You make the darkness disappear
I feel found when you stay near
I know where I am when you are here
My way becomes so clear

When you are gone
Will I lose control?
You are the only road I know
You show me where to go
Who will drive my soul?

Seems somebody burned out the signs
I can't expect the hard curves
There is no borders
There are no lines
How can I know where to turn?
You make the street lights reappear
I feel bright when you stand near
I know what I am when you are here
My place becomes so clear

When you are gone
Will I lose control?
You're the only road I know
You show me where to go
Who will drive me soul?

Will I lose control?
You're the only road that I know
You show me where to go
Who will drive my soul?
Drive my soul

When you're gone
Will I lose control?
You're the only road I know
You show me where to go
When you're gone
Will I lose control?
You're the only road I know
You show me where to go
Who will drive my soul?

The way she sings it is as if she is a car, or well, her sould is a car, and the one that she loves is driving it-- as in he is guiding her. When she can't read the signs, she goes out of control because she doesn;t know where the road bends or forks. If the person she loved ever leaves her, then no one will be there to drive, so she'll go out of control, like a car would if no on were driving it.

Sun is what gives the moon it's light so he is the sun and she is the moon she is in the dark without him, the sun gives the moon its light (moon is also a reference to night/romance her feelings and a metaphor) the rest of it is just about her being lost without a guide (the lyrics get a bit crappy here in my opinion) though she does hit some nice autotuned high notes at that part.

I know its about a boy. Or a person who means so much to her. If you have ever falling in love or something close to it, you'd know what its about. Its saying she knows who she is when hes around, and when he leaves, she doesn't know what she will do. I may not be exactly right, but I am pretty sure.

I don't think it's about a guy... probably just something significant that is happening in your life.. like.. it can have many meanings to it.. just the way you want to apply it to your life. For example; I don't think about a guy when listening to this song... more so family... or me becoming an adult and losing who i am now.

and you know what kristin she can actually be talking about a guy but when she says "I can't follow the way she moves" she can be talking about herself. she doesn't know what she goes here and there but she does. for example driving to find him she can't follow the way she moves because its all about love
