one thing i love about this song is how simple it sounds but it's very complex if you really listen. unlike most songs, in the rain song the guitar is playing the melody and the lyrics are just there as something extra. you don't need the lyrics to know this is a love song, the music sounds like a loving embrace :)
ok, here's my bad attempt at giving this song a meaning ;)
first verse: first line- saying how love is changing his life
second line- how the person he is in love with is changing his life
third line- it's not hard to see that all this is changing him for the better.
Second verse: first line- i'm happy, be happy for me and if youc an't then go away.
second line- i think it's saying i want you to stay close to me, i even wrote you a song to tell you all the love i feel for you.
third line- it isn't hard to tell when someone's really in love once you know what you're looking for, and now i know.
third verse: i remember life without you and i never thought it would get this great. if anything tries to stop us, i'll simply remember how much i love you and it'll be ok.
fourth verse:... that one i don't get... at least not right now :)
in a nut shell: i love you enough that my life started when i met you. i remember how life was without you and it is not good enough now. if our close friends and family aren't happy for us, then they can suck it. you are now my everything, you give me the sumlight to grow. everyone can tell how happy i am with you and what i thought was once love, is childish affection compared to how i feel about you.
