Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I'm found.
Was blind, but now I see.

'twas grace that taught my heart to feel
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

When we've been dead ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing god's praise
Then when we first begun.
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I'm found.
Was blind, but now I see.

Amazing Grace is one of the most soul touching songs ever sung. I've heard it sung in the memory of meany fallen Police Officers over the years, but never like this! After leasening to Leann Rimes' randition of Amazing Grace, I was truely moved. This randition of Amazing Grace could only be described as being incredably heart felt by the singer while singing it. Some singers achieve the title of being a great. You are a great singer just because you truely are, this performence says it all. Thank You Miss. Rimes.

Everyone has a different meaning for this song, just as we have different meanings of life. I feel that the reason there are so many versions may be because everyone has experienced this in their own way, but only some come to accept it. I love her version, I really do.
I was thinking of making my own version and posting a video, though I doubt it'll be as good as this.
