Let me know
Do I still got time to grow?
Things ain't always set in stone
That being known let me know
Let me

Seems like street lights glowing
Happen to be just like moments passing in front of me
So I hopped in the cab and
I paid my fares
See I know my destination
But I'm just not there

All the streetlights glowing
Happen to be
Just like moments passing
In front of me
So I hopped in the cab and
I paid my fare
See I know my destination
But I'm just not there

In the streets... In the streets
I'm just not there
In the streets
I'm just not there
Life's just not fair

Seems like street lights glowing
Happen to be just like moments passing in front of me
So I hopped in the cab and
I paid my fares
See I know my destination
But I'm just not there

All the streetlights glowing
Happen to be
Just like moments passing
In front of me
So I hopped in the cab and
I paid my fare
See I know my destination
But I'm just not there

All the streetlights glowing
Happen to be
Just like moments passing
In front of me
So I hopped in the cab and
I paid my fare
See I know my destination
But I'm just not there

In the streets... In the streets
I'm just not there
In the streets
I'm just not there
Life's just not fair

Kanye is a brillant when it comes to knowing what the audience wants and as for "street lights" he didn't disappoint. Best album in history? Chill. Late registration was bumpin light years harder. But I feel Ye'. The meaning for this song to me is the moments you let go and look back on and no longer have control or the ability to act on. We all have those and Ye' kept it in a simple lyric format that eerybody could relate to.

Wow a real music has to love the way Kanye gives something different to listen every song.
Yes he is arrogant and Cocky as hell but that's what makes his music good; he's confident in everything he does. He isn't afraid to work with people: Adam Lavigne. Common.
I will admit Hip hop and rap have deteriorated over the years but it's nice to see some artist that put their hearts into it like Kanye, Common, Busta Rhymes, N. E. Are. D, Andre 3000, T. I and my fave Ludacris.
Anyone that calls any genre of music garbage isn't a real music lover; I don't listen to Metal or country but I don't disrespect the artist just because I don't prefer their music.

Kanye West strikes again. Another horrible release from the musician that doesn't make music. He sounds like a retard there at the mic, and his lyrics are incredibly shallow, ignorant, and stupid- and only then when they aren't nonsensical. Anyone who doesn't realize this probably has an iq under 100, so it's okay if you don't agree with me. You are simply buying into this bs, fake music. He has absolutely no voice, though he tries to sing and only barely gets passed spoken word. Any respectable artist would wince at his pathetic attempts at singing. Anyone could make such a simple beat. It is so frustrating, because plenty other genres of music require real talent to be big in, but not this one! Rappers can be extremely young, but be super popular and wealthy- because it takes no effort at all. You simply need to spend 5 minutes at a computer with some beat software, and write some nonsensical lines of lyrics to go with it, then the ignorant masses follow through, pouring you tons and tons of money. On the other hand, as with most sub-genres of Metal music, the artists must have years of talent- sometimes 10 years of die-hard practicing their instrumentals or vocal/lyrical skills, before they become popular. These are people with a 100% stake of their lives in their genre of music, where as someone like Kanye need only sit down an hour a week to work- and become a millionaire in the process. Disgusting.
