[1st Verse]
She's an underdog
Lives next door to me
She's always heard you won't amount to anything
And it kills me to watch the agony beyond her eyes
Tragic the way people pass her by
But now I realize...

[Chorus]
That everyone sees her
But nobody knows, that
She screams in her pillow
For a better tomorrow
And she hates it
But she takes it
Watch out for that girl
One day she may change the world

[2nd Verse]
She's original
Never trying to fit in
She's got a way to always go
Against the grain
Oh yea
Someday, they'll see, how beautiful she really is
I know the last will be the first
The tables gonna turn cause...

[Chorus]
Everyone sees her
But nobody knows, that
She screams in her pillow
For a better tomorrow
And she hates it
But she fakes it
Watch out for that girl
One day she may change the world

[Bridge]
Maybe she'll be in a movie
Maybe she'll be in a song, yeeaah
Better pay her some attention
Before she's gone

[Additional Lyrics]
She's an underdog
Yea
She means the world to me
Yeaaaaaaa

[Chorus]
Everyone sees her
But nobody knows, that
She screams in her pillow
For a better tomorrow
And she hates it
But she makes it
Watch out for that girl
One day she may change the world

[Chorus]
Everyone sees her
But nobody knows, that
She screams in her pillow
For a better tomorrow
And she hates it
But she makes it
Watch out for that girl
One day she may change the world

I think it's about a girl people see at school and see she's average, ordinary, has friends at such. But she has her own problems that she doesn't like to show. And I think because she's had first hand expierience with those problems. (Eating Disorders like anorexia pops into my mind) and may educate people to love themselves.

    But that's just me.

This song is about a girl that everybody has seen but nobody knows her and she is having a hard time with nobody understanding her and she is always wishing for a better tomorrow but for her it's not working, but then in the future she mite be in a movie or a song and if you don't pay attention to her now,she will be gone. I love the Jonas brothers!

This song is about a girl who is neglected by others. Everybody knows who she is, but nobody wants to talk to her. She hopes and prays that the day will come when somebody finally sees the true potential she has. That potential could possibly be enough to land her on top of the charts, or the lead role in that must-see movie that will come in the future. By that time, though, it'll be too late.

This song reminds me so much of this girl back in the 4th grade. Everyone hated her. They'd come up to her and tell her she's ugly or fat or dumb right to her face. I sadly was a small part of it. I cant help but wonder what she thought to herself. It was so sad. She was a very lovely girl, too.
