This is a song originally written when JLS were called UFO and is now on their 3rd album, jukebox... which you should all buy!

I can't believe, finally, she's tryna break out of her shell.
She's adamant, to achieve, the worlds her oyster you would never tell.
She's so authentic, so unsuspected, this girl can go to school and be respected.
Her expression, a smile not a frown, goes home and it's upside down.
Walk through the door, little miss she's creeping, knowing a sound would get her a beating.
Why oh why is this girl still weeping?
Can't say anything cause she feels she's cheating.

She's just a few degrees shy of the cool, gotta change the rules, yeah.
She's just a few degrees shy of the cool, gotta change the rules, yeah.

I'll find a way, is what you'll say, those words still rotate in my head.
I sit there, thinking, how I can turn this around.
What you gonna do when the hurt turns physical?
Sending you a message that is so subliminal, positions so hard to get out, JLS here to break it down.
When you gotta step up, believe your devotions, to the cause you'll be fully rewarded.
Walk around with a smile not a frown, JLS here to break it downnnnn.

She's just a few degrees shy of the cool, gotta change the rules, yeah. (gotta change those rules)
She's just a few degrees shy of the cool, gotta change the rules, yeah.

Inside he's dying, this guy can't stop crying, all his hurt and lying. Cause he's shying away.
He's really trying, he's worried about the timing, all his hurt and lying. Cause he's shying away.
You don't understand why I'm the way I am, wanna tell you but I can't (I wanna tell you but I can't)
It's hard enough being the man, still I'll do what I can, guess that's the way I am, I am. (shy of the coooooool)

She's just a few degrees shy of the cool, gotta change the rules, yeah.
(KEEP REPEATING).

I personally think this jls song is about a young girl who get's beaten up by her dad as it says; 'knowing a sound would get her beating. ' and this is based on when she's at home. It also says she's fine at school, she just cries at home because she's scared. That is my meaning. But i love this song too.

I think this song is about a girl who is fairly popular at school, hense why is saying "this girl can go to school and be respected. ", but that she is mentally or physically abused at home. Then there is a guy (mentioned in the last verse) who maybe likes her but i scared to tell her? Maybe. Anyway i love this song and i love that boys sooo much!
