Im not sure what this song is about but...

I think it might be about how a boy is dealing with a break up.

I think that is him saying he wishes he could be a major part in her life again.

This could be him saying that she shouldn't look at the minor details of him.
She should keep "raining" her love on him because even though he isn't rich she makes life worth living.

He doesn't know wy she's always angry at him because he's always depressed at losing her.
