HELP ME MAKE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT.
TAKE THE RIBBONS FROM YOUR HAIR.
SHAKE IT LOOSE AND LET IT FALL
LAY IN SOFT UPON MY SKIN
LIKE THE SHADOWS ON THE WALL
COME AND LAY DOWN BY MY SIDE
'TIL THE EARLY MORNING LIGHT
ALL I'M TAKING IS YOUR TIME
HELP ME MAKE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT
I DON'T CARE WHAT'S RIGHT OR WRONG
I DON'T TRY TO UNDERSTAND
LET THE DEVIL TAKE TOMORROW
FOR TONIGHT I NEED A FRIEND
YESTERDAY IS DEAD AND GONE
AND TOMORROW'S OUT OF SIGHT
AND IT'S SAD TO BE ALONE
HELP ME MAKE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT.

Help me make it through the night is one of my fatorite songs of glady's. It means to me that she was lonely and didn't want to be alone. She needed to be with someone even if only a friend for the night. Yesterday was gone but tomorrow wasn't here yet. All she needed was not to be alone all night long. So lord help her make it through the night.
