Little by little, round by round
Weve been caught in the middle
Two hearts breakin down
Weve been fightin each other
With our backs to the wall
And little by little, were losin it all.
Chorus:
We saw it comin, the end of the line
Weve been hurting each other time after time
Over and over we ignored what we saw
And little by little were losin it all.
Your fault or my fault, nobody cares
It no longer matters, there's just nothing there
But a few tiny pieces waiting to fall
And little by little we're loosin' it all
Chorus:
We saw it comin, the end of the line
Weve been hurting each other time after time
Over and over we ignored what we saw
And little by little were losin it all...

I know exaclt what the song means. My father, tony ringo(jerry cooper) wrote it in 1982. The song is about his and my mother's divorce. They did try over and over to save the marriage with little results. They were divorced in 1982 as well.
