Personally i think this song is talking about feeling distant to someone you used to be close to. Possibly a "girlfriend/boyfriend." It's about feeling deceived and betrayed lead into believing something that wasn't true all along. Also there's some hurt there because you feel like that "person" was just like you and understood you, but turns out they're just like everyone else. In the end you just give up and you're just like "hey, I'm going my own now. You go do you and I'll handle mine." You're hurt but you just don't care anymore.
