Tiny heart, stuck inside yourself
When will you open up for me?
I love you so, wanna meet you again
Before one of us must go.

Your lips touched every hand but mine
If you choose me, I'm waiting for you.
If you choose me, I'm waiting for you.
Always waiting.

Tiny heart, you're not by yourself
When will you recognize the beat?
Of my own heart, grieving in your hand
You crushed me when you ran away.

Your lips touched every hand but mine
If you choose me, I'm waiting for you
When you choose me, I'm waiting for you
Always waiting!

You will never know what you have done to me
You will never know losing your love for me
You will never know a single day alone.

Tiny heart, stuck inside yourself
When will you open up?

Your lips touched every hand but mine
If you choose me, I'm waiting for you.

When you choose me, I'm waiting for you.
Always waiting.

i dont think its about having a baby at all. these arent the correct lyrics. the line where it says "Of my own heart, making your blood flow
So that your chest can rise and fall. " she actually says.. "of my own heart, grieving in your hand, you crush me when you run that way" also "In the shadows you shant find
When will you get back to me so we can rest?" is wrong too

This song means alot to me since I tink I can relate. It sounds like he is having a baby. Because of the follwoing lrycis.
"When will you recognize the beat?
Of my own heart, making your blood flow
So that your chest can rise and fall. "
Also, the following lyrics are sad but true for some.
"I love you so, wanna meet you again
Before one of us must go."
And, finally, my mother used to tell me that parents didn't pick their children, that is was the other way around. And so, I believe this is the same.
"When you choose me, I'm waiting for you.
    Always waiting."
I hope you enjoy the song as much as I do. and try to post your thoughts on the song.

It's called ambiguous songwriting and is why flyleaf is awesome at what they do. They have so much meaning in their songs while staying true to their faith and fans. It's quite beautiful actually how they can depth in their songs to praise god while reaching such a wide audience.

People these days forget god, this is a very sinful generation they always turn their backs on god and still continue in committing a sin and doing wordly things

knowing that flyleaf is a Christian band, i would say that this song is about God's longing to be the keeper of our hearts and his hurt at how some of his children fall away from his love and how he is always here and waiting for us to come back to his light
