We can't be oblivious
We are not ignorant
Blood in our hearts
Blood on our hands
We're human, we reason, we're breathing, protecting
The living and dying, surviving, we're trying
To breathe in safety
Come home safely

Mercy screams it's violent love
Justice and mercy
Justice and mercy
The depth of us created for
Justice and mercy
Justice and mercy
This is where they kiss

Life here sacrificed
Someone who paid the price
Blood in our hearts
Blood on our hands
We're crying, we're fighting, it's warfare, we're dying
Believing we're winning, it's ending, we're singing
It's already done
We've overcome

Mercy screams it's violent love
Justice and mercy
Justice and mercy
The depth of us created for
Justice and mercy
Justice and mercy
This is where they kiss

With a life on the line (fire)
That consumes or refines (fire)
To ascend or decline
To retreat or to climb
Out of sight out of mind
‘Til attacked from behind
Will this fire consume or refine

Mercy screams it's violent love
Justice and mercy
Justice and mercy
The depth of us created for
Justice and mercy
Justice and mercy
This is where they kiss

This song is like a parable. A parable is a story that obscures truth, and makes it a riddle so you are forced to ponder it and think about it. This obscures jesus. Jesus is justice and mercy. He paid the price. The depth of us was created for him. He is an all consuming fire. The song is a fabulous riddle about the son of man.

God's "justice and mercy" kiss in his son jesus christ who became man (true god & true man) to live the perfect life and die for us to satisfy god's justice and through jesus is god's mercy -god raised him from the dead to give us forgiveness and eternal life when we cling and trust god's promise to do so when we trust jesus, our lord, savior and our god!

    Lyrics:
    1.)"We can't be oblivious
    We are not ignorant"

    2.)"Life here sacrificed
    Someone who paid the price"

    3.)"Blood in our hearts
    Blood on our hands"

    4.)"We're crying, we're fighting, it's warfare, we're dying"

    My Take:
1.)We can't be ablivious to Jesus and his love and what he did, we're smart enough to recongnize that (or we should be any way...)

2.)When Jesus died to give us some hope in life.

3.) It's because of our sins and shortcommings that Jesus HAD to die.

4.) But still we all keep fighting and killing eachother (in both a physical phycological and spiritural sense)
