Flyleaf – Arise lyrics

Tell the swine
We will make it out alive
There's a note in the pages of the book
So sleep tonight,
We'll sleep dreamlessly this time
When we awake we'll know that everything's alright
So sing to me about the end of the world
End of these hammers and needles for you

Hold on to a world we all remember fighting for,
There's still strength left in us yet
Hold on to a world we all remember dying for,
There's still hope left in us yet

The snow on your face, and your razor blades
The twilight is bruised and there you lie

So sing to me, about the end of the world
End of these hammers and needles for you
We'll cry tonight, but in the morning we are new
Stand in the sun, we'll dry your eyes

Hold on to a world we all remember fighting for,
There's still strength left in us yet
Hold on to a world we all remember dying for,
There's still hope left in us yet

And sing
Sing
Arise

Arise and be,
All that you dreamed, all that you dreamed

Arise and be,
All that you dreamed, all that you dreamed

Arise and be,
All that you dreamed, all that you dreamed

Arise and be,
All that you dreamed, all that you dreamed

It's a great song because, today, there were lots of things to ruin my thoughts and I felt defeated in a way like I would never have power in my meaning through god because they were wrong by the world's view of things. It felt awful to sit there and be told my faith was wrong and to feel this dark pull that argued if this is true then all my efforts and love for god is a waste. This song renews and encourages that reassurance god gives through his word during dark times. It reminds us that we are not beatin and that our father made us strong in him. I will always be able to find hope and strength in my lord to endure the waters of this life.
