This song is not about friends, boyfriends, or people in general. It's about god. She is explaining how no matter what happens to you in this life or whatever you do in this life, god is still holding onto you, and if you ask him, he will help you through all your tough times, which is why in the chorus she says: savoring this heart thats healing. It's also flyleaf's way of giving everything they are to god, which is stated prtety clearly when they sing: take my hand, i give it to you, now you own me, all i am. You said you will never leave me, i believe you, i believe. Whether you're an atheist, or christian (like mex3) flyleaf's meaning for this song is god is everywhere and he loves everyone.

This song makes me cry and miss my boyfriend but feel closer to him then ever before. He showed me this song by txtin me the 1st 4 lines in the middle of the night and i like the acoustic version better. He ships out to the navy soon and i know that if i keep listening to his favorite bands, the 5 years he's gone will seem like nothing. I feel like this is the song that really solidified how i feel about him, about us, and this is the song that'll keep us together until he gets back and marries me. I love him, and i know that he'll be ok, this song gives me hope.

This is about how lacey's relationship with god. She used to be an atheist before she started going to church with her aunt, then she became christian.

I love this song so much. It's most likely a good song to listen to after going through a really bad break-up. Then again what would i know... I've never had a boyfriend. Emphasis on never. This song is mostly about how even when you and the one you love are apart you're still together. Meaning that just becos you aren't with someone and you feel alone you can just tell that they're still with you.

The song is very nice... Holding on to what she believes in... She feels that she is not alone... There is someone who is with her all the times she feels down..
