    It's clearly about god's love and how he always comes through no-matter what happens to us or how many times we forget him or do him wrong. He always forgives because his love is the eternal kind. I'd know because he always does come through for me. Personally, I can identify with the person in the song. It's definitely not about human love because human love can fail when times get really tough.

    It's about tapping in to the super-conscious mind = g o D. 'when food is gone you are my daily need' sounds completely biblical and beautiful. When it looks about as bad as it can possibly get - well, throw your hands up in the air and just give it up! Let go! You aren't in control of everything, you give, you receive so be a part of the flow. You're not on your own, even if all your friends are gone. It's just time to tap into the source and meet the true friends. Yep. Powerful meaning in this song. Absolutely uplifting. Love it!

    "sometimes i feel like throwing my hand up in the air, i know i can count on you". The feeling of giving up on yourself and having someone else tell you 'you're worth it'.
    "now and then it seems that life is just too much, but you've got the love to see me through". This is more of those suicidal thoughts but you will never go through it because you love 'love yourself' too much. (the message is delivered from 2nd person to yourself.)
    "you got the love". Means you (yourself) have the potential to love and cherish yourself the way others or how your god would love you.
    "sooner or later in life, the things you love you lose, but you got the love i need to see me through. ". You may lose all your will but you still have the potential to keep going and thriving to love yourself and succeed in life, relationships and what your dreams desire.

    I know you all want a meaning. But maybe what florence sings isn't about the meaning maybe its about life in believing what you believe or just letting loose. I listen to her non-stop and I just feel like I can do anything. I saw her in concert this year and only 2 words could discribe her.
