Even though the words of the song are pretty complex the meaning to this song is pretty easy. Some times we fell weighted down by the world and we want to leave that place to go do what we want to do. In this case, Falling Up used gravity to represent the world and all of its harshness and demands. Throughout the song the line "It won't be long" is repeated.
