Where are you Christmas
Why can't I find you
Why have you gone away
Where is the laughter
You used to bring me
Why can't I hear music play

My world is changing
I'm rearranging
Does that mean Christmas changes too

Where are you Christmas
Do you remember
The one you used to know
I'm not the same one
See what the time's done
Is that why you have let me go

Christmas is here
Everywhere, oh
Christmas is here
If you care, oh

If there is love in your heart and your mind
You will feel like Christmas all the time

I feel you Christmas
I know I've found you
You never fade away
The joy of Christmas
Stays here inside us
Fills each and every heart with love

Where are you Christmas
Fills your heart with love

Too often, the true spirit of christmas is obscured by the excitement of counterfeit deeds and doings. The key to christmas is, as the song says, having "love in your heart and mind" that reciprocates the divine - "for god so loved the world that he sent is son. " if my buying, partying, and giving is for any other reason than true love, christmas will lack the full measure of genuine joy it deservers.

This song is speaking about how as we get older and we change, Christmas changes for us, and it no longer holds the childish fantasy we once dreamed about. It is just a plain straightforward Christmas; presents, tree, decorations, family, food, etc. The person is saying that they have changed so that Christmas no longer brings them joy or hear the jubilant sounds of the season. Then, at the end, they have finally found Christmas because Christmas will come alive for you if you have love in your heart and soul. This is one of my all time favorite Christmas songs.

The writer is going through changes; possibly losing someone she cares about. They used to be filled with joy at christmas but this year they are having a hard time feeling the spirit. They search all christmas season for that childish joy. Finally on christmas, they realize that christmas never left them. It is always there, always waiting to be revived when we are willing to open our hearts and fill them with love. That's all it takes to feel the same nostalgic wonderfulness we got at christmas when we were children. That's all it is: love.

We can't find Christmas because we aren't celebrating it the way God intended us to. Christmas isn't even in the Bible. Infact God hates it say Amos 5: 21. I hate your religious festivals. We have made a mockery out of Jesus' Birth which in not Dec. 25. Ask God what Christmas is really about. He will show you if you open your eyes, ears and mind to what He has to say.
