This song for me has a lot of pain involved. The other person has a drug problem, and the choices and the hunger for the drug will eventually destroy what the other person has worked so hard for. The other person knows that the voices that drive their lover to tell the lies, and to run off and do what they do best, will eventually destroy everything that the other person has faught so hard for.
